Susan Phillips Bari is Senior Vice President, Paygevity, which provides prompt payment services to suppliers to America's government agencies and corporations.
Ms. Bari has spent her career promoting opportunities for women and minority-owned businesses. As the founding Executive Director of the S.B.A.-funded Washington Regional Training Center of the American Woman's Economic Development Corporation, she helped 2,000+ women start and grow businesses. Ms. Bari is President Emeritus of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and was its founding president in 1997.
The author of three books for entrepreneurs, she has been extensively featured in the business press as an expert on the growth of and challenges faced by women-owned businesses. Ms. Bari was appointed by President Reagan as chairman of the Council on Women's Business Enterprise and by President Clinton to a term as a member of the National Women's Business Council, and was subsequently reappointed by President Bush. She is a member of the board of the Women Presidents' Organization where she serves as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee
