COLUMBUS, Ohio - March 15, 2016 - Sally Hughes, CEO of Caster Connection, was named as the 2016 Ohio Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
In accepting the honor, Mrs. Hughes said “I’d like to thank Mary McCarthy for nominating me for this prestigious award, and I would like to thank the U.S. Small Business Administration for the honor. Also, I must recognize the support and contributions of my wonderful Caster Connection team in helping to grow Caster Connection to what it is today.”
The President of the United States has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of National Small Business Week, each year since 1963. National Small Business Week takes place during the first week in May, with this year’s being May 1-7, with national events planned in Washington, D.C., New York City, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix and San Jose and Oakland, California. Each state’s winners have been invited to attend ceremonies in Washington, D.C on May 1-2 to be presented their individual awards, as well as recognition for the runners-up and the naming of the 2016 National Small Business Person of the Year.
