Nancy Williams and Roz Alford ASAP Staffing LLC

Taryn Rose International

ASAP Staffing provides information technology consultants to Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States. With 350 consultants, owners Nancy Williams and Roz Alford have built the Norcross, GA-based company from $4 million in sales in 1998 to over $30 million in 2002.

The company gives back through the Partnership Against Domestic Violence. ASAP staffing employees mentor victims of domestic violence and participate in a unique program that allows victims to receive training and placement at Bell South.

"We're particularly proud of our involvement in this program," Williams says, "because it is changing the lives of these women and helping them stand on their own two feet. It builds their self-esteem and teaches them about doing business in corporate America."

Taryn Rose is on a mission to rescue our feet. Her Los Angeles company is based on the premise that women deserve to wear comfortable shoes. An orthopedic surgeon by training, Taryn designs comfortable fashion footwear.

Despite family members urging her to pursue the secure life that practicing medicine affords, she faced her fears and decided to be "true to my soul." With hard work and the belief that pursuing your dreams can bring happiness, she became an entrepreneur.

Now she gives back in every way she can, mentoring college students, and donating dollars to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. "With the understanding that survival and success are your only options, you will be astonished by the strength you have inside of you," she says.
