2010 Recipient: Center for Women’s Leadership at Babson College

CARY, NC: Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine (www.enterprisingwomen.com), awarded the Center for Women’s Leadership at Babson College with the 2010 Enterprising Women Advocacy Award in recognition of its leadership in advancing women’s entrepreneurship in the United States and throughout the world. Judith Reed, assistant director of the Center, accepted the award on behalf of Babson College during the 2010 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration, March 17-19 in Miami, FL.

“Leaders of the women’s entrepreneurship community in the United States and beyond recognize the Center at Babson for its outstanding advocacy on behalf of women in business. We wanted to shine the spotlight on the outstanding work they do and provide well-deserved recognition,” Monica Smiley said.

Based in Babson Park, MA, the Babson College Center for Women’s Leadership (www3.babson.edu/CWL) operates under a mission to create, support and disseminate best practice for women’s entrepreneurial leadership through educational excellence, innovative professional development, and outreach and research that translates data into knowledge and knowledge into action.  It focuses on women at all stages of their careers, as well as on organizations that are committed to leveraging the talent and market power of women.
