2006 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards — Advocacy Awardees

Issue: Vol. 7, No. 3

SANDRA YANCEY is the founder and CEO of eWomenNetwork.com, the fastest growing membership-based women’s business network in North America. The organization has a database of over 400,000 women business owners and executives, more than 15,000 members, and conducts 90 trademarked accelerated networking chapter events in cities across North America. The organization’s Web site receives over 200,000 hits daily. Sandra also hosts the eWomenNetwork Radio Show, broadcasting weekly out of Dallas on the largest ABC affiliate in the United States. She established the eWomenNetwork Foundation to address the physical and financial health of underprivileged women and girls.

The mother of two and a first-generation Hispanic-American, she credits her mother, who was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, for giving her the strength to follow her dreams.

Enterprising Women presented Sandra with the 2006 Advocacy Award to recognize her strong advocacy on behalf of women entrepreneurs, her leadership, and her pioneering spirit.

Amy is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a master’s degree from The George Washington University, where she serves as an adjunct professor.

She received the 2006 Enterprising Women Advocacy Award to acknowledge the important role that Springboard has played and her personal advocacy on behalf of entrepreneurial women.
